 Ecuador Saw Mill Most products are cut on demand instead of being readily in stock to keep prices lower -- although we usually stock up on square balsa sticks, large dowels, airplane parts, triangles, and standard 36 & 48 inch (3-4 inch
width) balsa sheets throughout the year to speed up common order turnaround times.
Balsa wood mostly grows in Ecuador. Balsa trees can reach 100 feet in height and several feet in diameter. The trees grow to maturity in as little as 6 years.
